Can you reduce loneliness for an isolated older neighbour? Join bfriender to find out more about befriending in your community.

Thursday 23 January 2020, 6pm – 8pm at Breathing Space, Badsley Moor Lane, Rotherham S65 2QL

Pop along for a few hours to discover how we aim to tackle social isolation in Rotherham with the support of incredible befrienders giving an hour a week to visit an older neighbour nearby.

At this event you will hear about the project and how it aims to reduce loneliness in our communities. There will be guest speakers sharing their experiences of volunteering along with professionals adding key info about the importance of connection and a befrienders’ role.

The induction evening includes information about:

• Safeguarding adults
• Fire and hazard safety in the home
• Lone working, insurances & data protection
• Personal experiences of befriending
• All the yes, no and maybes

Oh, and there will also be snacks and refreshments FREE for all attendees.
