MESSAGE FROM RMBC - Libraries consultation
Two new consultations on the future of Rotherham Libraries have been launched on RMBC website. The Council is committed to making improvements to all of its 15 libraries across the borough, and are setting aside capital to make this investment possible.
One of the consultations is specifically asking for residents’ views on the use and how Brinsworth Library will be run. For many years, Brinsworth Library has been situated in a ‘temporary’ building but we have been working with the Parish Council to build a brand new facility for public use. Plans for Brinsworth Library include it being run by Brinsworth Community Trust.
Both library consultations ask residents for their views on the new library strategy and any other improvements they might like to see in their libraries. It will be the last opportunity for the public to submit their views on the strategy before it is sent to the Council’s Cabinet meeting. Both consultations close on Sunday 26 April 2020, so if you’re an avid book reader or use any of the libraries’ resources, please don’t hesitate to complete the survey. They are available at www.rotherham.gov.uk/consultations.
